SIR MIKE by: Robyn Hood Black illustrated by: David Murphy

¬†Sir Mike does a check of his “kingdom” very often and today there might be trouble. ūüôā¬†This si a short, little book, only 31 pages.¬†Sir Mike is a Scholastic Rookie Reader. Parents, there is a word list in the back of the book. This book was what my mom would call cute. It is a great bed-time story. I like how it rhymes. I give Sir Mike¬†4 out of 5 shields. This book has a great ending!

CATCHING FIRE by: Suzanne Collins

¬†This¬†is the second book of the Hunger Games Trilogy. As the tension grows in Panem, Katniss Everdeen is thrown back into the Hunger Games. Just¬†like in¬†The Hunger Games book, I don’t want to give you much of a summary because it will give a lot of things away. This book has a lot more drama than the first book, but it really fits into the setting. There are tons of huge surprises around every corner. It is cool how Katniss has such a deep and troubled character, it seems as with every¬†decision something new appears. I¬†give Catching Fire 5 out of 5 shields. This book keeps you guessing the whole time! WARNING! This book also has a lot of violence, gore, and a little bad language! It was on the edge with my parents¬†whether¬†I¬†would be allowed to¬†read this book.
