SIR MIKE by: Robyn Hood Black illustrated by: David Murphy

Sir Mike does a check of his “kingdom” very often and today there might be trouble. 🙂 This si a short, little book, only 31 pages. Sir Mike is a Scholastic Rookie Reader. Parents, there is a word list in the back of the book. This book was what my mom would call cute. It is a great bed-time story. I like how it rhymes. I give Sir Mike 4 out of 5 shields. This book has a great ending!

SIR BENTLEY AND HOLBROOK COURT by: Chuck Black

When a rich Noble Knight, Bentley, gives up his prosperous ways and he travels the countryside, he saves a man’s life and in exchange works on a farm. The lord of Holbrook is unfair and Bentley tries to set him straight, but something bigger is arising and when the lord’s daughter gets captured he has to get to the bottom of this mystery. I give this book 4 out of 5 shields for the action and suspense. This is the second book in the Knights of Arrethtrae series.
